BIO

I was born and raised in a small town in central Minnesota. My parents say I could sing before I could even speak! I grew up in a musical family, the youngest of four singing sisters, and have enjoyed writing music and harmonizing with others ever since. The creation of original music has developed into a life-long passion, and I recently started a new concept album with a close friend. It will appear in the videos section of my site in the coming weeks, so be sure to keep an eye out for some new music!

 

I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies. I have also spent significant time traveling and living abroad (in both Germany and Spain) to study new languages and cultures so that I might be able to better reflect on my own. I am passionate about finding new ways to communicate with others, be it verbally, musically, physically, or something entirely new. 

 

My interest in culture and desire to create original work have deeply empowered my work as an actor, an artist, and an activist. I believe in the power of performance art to bring important messages to large groups of people at a time. However, I also know that people in our current climate might not be ready to absorb heavy information, so I also enjoy bringing light into someone’s day and making people laugh. In my art and my career I seek to “comfort the afflicted, and afflict the comfortable,” as they say. I am inspired by new works, and am in the process of creating one of my own, which I hope to get on its feet in the coming years.
